It’s a sign of the season when we see the geese practicing for their departure south…
…and the ducks circling ’round picking up whatever they can find
to fatten up before the long flight to warmer climates.

…and on this Labour Day weekend,
we have never seen this many boats on the water all season.
It was a very sporty day…
and all those boats we saw earlier in the day were part of the Labour Day Regatta…
…and didn’t we find ourselves right in the thick of the race…
Canadian Coast Guard has been sending warnings
over the VHF radio since mid-afternoon,
of a gale force winds for Montreal area…
…so I’m guessing this is the calm before the storm.
