…what started out today as a little friendly ‘rendezvous’
turned into a rescue mission of monumental proportions…
…still feeling the effects of yesterday’s Pirate Day,
we went on the offensive to track down the dastardly Sonic…
invader from the dark side…
…we spotted them just after they had secretly slipped under the
Pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes…
…the infamous Captain Edmundo and second mate Sebastien
were determined
to capture the beautiful R.E.D. and claim her as their own…
…their hunt for the R.E.D. (not quite yet) October…
…the winds were a fierce 1.0 knots…
…currents an insurmountable 0.5 knots …
…with a bit of crafty manoeuvring
we lured the Sonic into dangerous waters…
…trapped in low ground south of the north cardinal buoy
our prey was ours for the taking…
…success was ours as we pulled the helpless crew from the reef
and returned to port with our bootie…
…as our able bodied crew member Pat stated:
“A day on the water is better than any day in the office”.
…and as I lie here writing this,
the Harvest Moon shining through the cabin window,
I think of how lucky we are to have such good friends
Pat,
Edmundo and Sebastien,
Sylvie
Odette, and Jean Luc
(yes, that’s right! 7 in our little cockpit)
Thanks for making it such a great day!
Pirates all!
