From a good anchorage at Little Neck Bay…
…we set out for Oyster Bay…
where the wind was so light that with the coordinates in our GPS
we would have reached our anchorage in 1 day, 1 hour and 8 minutes…
so we motored…
Settled in a very nice neighbourhood for the evening,
but we weren’t invited up for tea or a shower…
Leaving Oyster Bay was a treat….
great wind in the perfect direction
a brief stop at the villlage for gas top up,
and we were on our way…
…full sail…
slathered with sun screen,
we plotted our course…
…and what a ride it was!
25 nm on one tack!
Anchored safely at Jefferson Bay for the night
in another very nice neighbourhood…
…next to some enviable vessels…
tonight is calm…
…but we’ve been warned
there may be bad weather approaching…
I just love watching your story unfold. Thank you so much for all the updates!
Thanks Mike. Blogging has been a great way for us to relive what we have done when our memories get weak.
