What do boat fanatics do when they can’t be on the water?
We go where other boat fanatics gather in the cold winter months…
…to the boat show…
…tickets purchased…
…hotel reservations made well in advance…
…opted to drive (7 hours) this year instead of taking the train (5 hours)…
…up at dawn, quick shower, frosty smoothie, 2nd coffee, one for the road….
(missed the wine & cheese picnic en route this year)
…beautiful clear day ahead…
…clear road past early morning city traffic, just us and the truckers…
…had a brief GPS view of this summer’s destination…
(lots of marinas)
…final destination reached without incident…
…check-in (40th floor room with a view)….
…picked up some medical supplies for the room,
and a chance to grab my favourite free magazine
from the L.C.B.O….
