…Somehow I find all of the end-off-season terms

for removing the boat from the water

for the next six months

negative,

so I have chosen the term

reverse launch‘…

…We woke (onboard) to 9 ° C

…prepared coffee…

…secured our place in line for the boat ballet of the day…

We had removed the dagger board (it needs some repair)…

maybe too early, as the wind really increased

making manoeuvrability and docking a bit difficult…

(note to selves: next year remove to check for any damage but not before ‘reverse launch’ )

…safely docked with many thanks to club staff…

…straps in place…

…water ballast removed…

…out…

…safely on trailer…

…and away she goes…

…up the hill and through the woods…

…while the next in line wait their turn…

…still many boats to go…

(I am so jealous that others get to stay for those last precious days)

…R.E.D. is back to her temporary place until tomorrow…

…no ‘MacGregor Bump’ required…

…touch down…

…the rest of our day was spent cleaning, removing gear and storing non-essentials.

…last night onboard…

burrr

…tomorrow R.E.D. meets her Plastic Surgeon…

…the high light of my day was when the club maganger said that
when R.E.D. returns from ‘surgery’ she will likely be the last boat in the yard…

…therefore…

…first boat in next year…

…one very Happy Kat!…

(this year we had almost five full months onboard,
next year’s goal – a full six!!)
