For our next little adventure on R.E.D.
we plan on venturing out into Lac-Saint-Louis, our neighbouring lake
We spent some good times there last year,
made some good friends…
but in order to sail/motor there
we have to pass under 4 bridges
and through the lock at Saint-Anne-de Bellevue
We stopped by for a little reconnaissance,
to check water levels
the first bridge is the Pont Îles aux Tourtes
(according to current datum, water level will be good for this one)
…the path we will take…
…boats motor into the lock, raft up…
and after 30 minutes…
…the gates on the other side open…
…and away they go.
once through
we will have to pass under these next three bridges…
calculation:
water line + mast + antenna = 37′
+ supposed to add a 3′ safety factor…
…current height clearance 39′
…may be tight…
mast raising/lowering system installed before leaving????
…probably…
