Captain’s turn at the helm

(taking a course on weather is making us more conscious of the skies)
…leaves are starting to turn in our area,
and in the next two weeks they should be at their peak.
…A few other sailors were out taking advantage of the last fews days.
…Last year we were so nervous about crossing the ferry line,
so kept our distance.
This year, not so nervous.
…Those 15 knot gusts made for a sweet run home.

Fingers crossed that there will be a couple more days
before R.E.D. is put to bed for the winter.
