Back to our home port…

re-balanced at home

(laundry, real showers and such)

some Power and Sail Squadron obligations for me

and some condo admin stuff for Francois.

One night sleeping on land and Captain woke up with stiff neck and a sore back…

(strees maybe?)

He also can’t stand being in shoes anymore

and is sporting a very sexy pirate beard…

Have to get the man back on the water…

Here at our boat base, the great thing about storm and strong wind advisories

is that we can go out for a sail but not too far to pull back in should the weather worsen.

It’s a great way to sharpen our skills in a more controlled fashion.

This was such a day…

We faced strong gusty winds on our nose heading westward

but made it as far as the Oka-Hudson ferry in 1.75 hours.

Last year’s attempts were minimum 3 hours

in the same conditions.

…the sail kite ballet was out in full force…

…otherwise for most of the afternoon we were almost alone…

We now sail faster, point higher and our confidence levels

in ourselves and R.E.D. has increased 100%.

…still so much to learn…

…still loving the life…
