Today we headed west of our club…
Full sails…
Light winds, some gusts but manageable…
The challenge was to manoeuvre past the path of two ferries
than run continuously between Oka…
…and Hudson…
Depending on the winds and
how quickly they load and unload the cars…
…it can be tricky sailing across their path
but we ‘breezed’ through
with only a couple of tacks.
Sailed back home on a broad reach in the rain in a fraction of the time
to enjoy Happy Hour.
The refrigerator was fairly empty at this point in the weekend
but a good Harp lager,
some grapes,
crackers with smoked mussels,
and
lemon rosemary mackerel on pepper chips
with a touch of Greek yogurt and chives
were the perfect compliment to another successful day.
