Now that R.E.D. has her secure temporary place at the military base,

the process begins to take stock of the ‘ stuff ‘

the stuff we need to sail with…

the stuff we would like to sail with…

the stuff that’s left…SO much stuff left…

today we started to disrobe what we have collected over the past nine months,

removing packaging and trying to organize it a bit better…

very thankful to be able to recycle…

What is left is a rough sorting of galley (you noticed I prioritized that first), navigation, and miscellaneous gear

(which, by the way, does not include François’ supply of tools, fenders, etc etc including that pretty SS anchor that has been residing as a piece of art on our living room coffee table)

I sometimes wonder how less organized (some might label, less OCD) people manage…

a tedious process of filling out warranty forms, scanning paperwork,
finding online manuals to cut down on paper..

…so much paper…

And all of you readers who own or have owned a boat (regardless of size) will see we have

FAR TOO MUCH STUFF

and that doesn’t include the two people who will be aboard…

But I love to refer back to what François’ brother says,

that regardless of boat size

“six for cocktails

four for dinner

two to sleep”

Yay!..more room for more stuff…
