…and for the past several (and very cold) months,
R.E.D.’s anchor has resided here on land….
…but now, she’s back where she should be….
…with 30′ of new (and shiny) anchor chain…
…today was the day to try her out, a feisty 15-20 knot west winds,
middle of the lake we dropped her and she held fast…
…it was a cold day on the water for a picnic at anchor….
…but a great day to sail, heading into the wind we made 5.2 knots…
…and 6.2 knots on a reach…
…pretty darn good for our little boat, Captain!
