Today was the annual barbecue for the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron’s
Saint-Lawrence District
four local squadrons participating…
and of course our squadron
Since the event was being held at Hudson Yacht Club…
just a few nautical miles from R.E.D.’s home base
we decided to ‘sail’ there…
‘Sail’ = a bit of drifting, some motoring with just a bit of canvas added into the mix…
(that is to say…not a whole lot of wind)
…but we arrived at Hudson in time to freshen up a bit…
(Captain cleans up really well doesn’t he?)
…the very pretty club house at Hudson…
…a combined cooking effort from Squadron members…
(Grilled lamb, hamburgers, sausages and local corn on the cob all prepared to perfection)
…an evening race provided some entertainment…
…our table…
…included some lively discussions…
…not sure what this conversation was all about…
…but Captain was very animated…
…best guess?…
the topic was about boating, sailing, and R.E.D.
…a very pleasant evening enjoying the good food, the camaraderie,
and the sharing of our common interests…
