While I had my glory day yesterday,

today was François’ big treat day.

We travelled 24 nm to Mechanicville,

docked for free at Mechanicville Terminal Wall (electricity, and showers included),

then made our way to a local store

for some provisions.

I had brought onboard some packages of Swiss Fondu

for the occasion when we might just be able to find some good French bread.

Tonight was that occasion.

We scored a fresh baguette, our first since leaving Montreal.

Back onboard the wine was poured, the bread was sampled and approved of…


I prepared our feast…


…and we dined, cockpit style.


…all that delicious, drippy, gooey cheese…


Captain was one happy sailor!
