We decided to do a little reconnaissance for this weekend’s fireworks display
which meant a trip to Bay Vaudreuil….which also meant passing under this bridge…
We did our calculations…as per our seamanship course…
checked the charts…
recalculated…
should be OK…
but…
within inches of passing under the bridge François noticed that there was a discrepancy in the actual depth of the water on our depth sounder and charted depth…
….very thankful for Evinrude 60 in reverse
Disaster averted…
