AN EVENING AWAY FROM THE ‘STUFF’

Sometimes it’s good to step back from what’s happening,

take a little break,

and breath different air…

The past week has been a bit of an emotional roller coaster ride

so an evening in our nation’s capital was a welcome reprieve

First a couple of pints and lunch at one of our favourite pubs

…Then exchanging flip flops for pretty shoes

….Jeans and tea shirts for Black Tie

The occasion:

in recognition of companies across the country

for their support of Military Reserve personnel

hosted by

The Canadian Forces Liaison Council

Held at the Canadian War Museum’s LeBreton Gallery

For a while we forgot about boat problems

and just enjoyed the festive atmosphere

But looking out our hotel window

we still couldn’t help imagining being on the water someday soon
