We are now down to the final days preparing R.E.D.

for the cold winter months ahead…

…propellor repaired, painted and re-installed
which pretty much takes care of her outside…
…François arranged the tarp so we can come visit anytime…
(there may be a winter boat picnic to attend)

…everything has been removed

with bilge covers raised for better circulation…

…just ball caps and foul weather jackets just in case…
…our trusty little Caframo heater may be left onboard
(in case of a winter onboard picnic we can plug it directly to the club power)
…one small container of Kanberra Gel to absorb odours…
…two containers of No Damp (fore & aft) to absorb moisture…
…our end-of-season boat picnic…

…both batteries removed and brought home…
…plugged into an ‘intelligent’ charger…
…protector on terminals…
…the space savers…
…the final bits and pieces, air all sucked out…
…two duvets & covers, two sets of bed linens, cushions etc…
…all that before wouldn’t fit into 3 bins, now nicely packed into one…

…our little 8′ x 8′ storage unit’s belly is FULL!…

…our R.E.D.-facing-westward view at home…
…this, plus courses, dreaming and planning
will have to keep us going for the next 6 months…

…and our anchor…

…the virtual winter link to our Lady…

what can I say?…

…have to agree with my Captain…

It is quite a piece of art!
