What a great day this was for two sailors
on their little voyage.
We left our anchorage at Castleton on Hudson
at a reasonable hour (crack of 09:00)
and headed north,
destination Waterford, NY
just 15 nautical miles away.
This is a place any boater considering travel
on the New York Waterway should visit.
We tied up at the Visitor Centre docks,
paid $10 for full service
(electricity, water, real showers and toilets, wifi
and the super friendly welcome was free).
We couldn’t help but compare this with the $35 mooring ball the other night.
Along the dock we chatted with a couple who had just completed
the Great America Loop.
They and another couple graciously included us in their champaign celebration.
Kathy and John,
thank you for including us.
Peg and Jim,
it was a pleasure meeting you all.
I hope we cross paths again someday.
Please keep in touch.
An just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better,
we had a visit to top all visits.
Two virtual MacGregor boat friends stopped by.
It was like meeting old friends.
Lance and Gary,
you made our day!!!
