A PIG POST: Neighbourhood Watch

A PIG POST: Neighbourhood Watch

Now that my season as boat pig has come to an end,

I have taken on the supervisory responsibilities of overseer…

…as my Captain gives a helping hand to our neighbour Jean-Luc…

…it was touch and go for a moment…

…I was sure that mast was heading our way.

…But in the end all went very well…

…another job well done, sir!…

PIG POST

PIG POST

As an honorary Marine I know how to run a tight ship…

hauling in the main sheet…

…I also have to make sure the Captain keeps on course…

…I keep a good pig eye on our compass…

…climbing the mast is no problem for a little guy like me…

(the Admiral is afraid of heights)

…I quite often have to use my pig muscles sheeting the genoa…

sometimes I take a break and sit in the stern seat…

…or just hang out with my peeps…

…me and the Admiral…

…me and my bud…Captain François Sparrow…

to quote Phil Collins…

‘just another day for you and me in (pig) paradise’

…’paradise’

PIG ONBOARD

PIG ONBOARD

In response to a reader’s request…

the PIG is now onboard

As a bit of background, will link the explanation about Pig’s existence

(in case anyone is interested) from an older blog post

The little guy has really been around –

most recently on an African safari in Kenya,

he was made an honorary Maasai Warrior…

And an honorary Marine at Camp Lejuene, North Carolina…

Now Major Pig (ret)…

…he spends his days on board, relaxing

…guarding the beer

…and keeping an eye out for pirates

And I know it seems easy, said Piglet to himself, “but it isn’t everyone who could do it.”
