Today was a super day with Francois’ three grandkids,
and his son and daughter…
He began with
THE RULES…
1. No person under the age of 10 years
is allowed on the docks without a life vest…
(not just a Grand Papa rule but also a club rule)
2. Everyone in the cockpit must wear their life vest…
3. When moving around the boat
you must always have one hand securely on the boat…
4. And above all, you MUST have fun!!!…
…this includes all passengers over the age of 10 years…
…Grand Papa rules
included a driving course for each of the three…
and handling the lines (although there was very little wind)…
…we anchored/beached in 2 feet of water…
(because that’s how we roll on a MacGregor)
…back at our home base we enjoyed a barbecue onboard
while the little ones played hide and seek…
…not a lot of places to hide, but they found a few…
…afterward Grand Papa Francois cleaned away the chips and sand…
…then I prepared him a little reward…

After returning ‘home’: water and land
we have had to pay catch up with obligations…
(I think in the next update of the dictionary, ‘obligations’
should have an official four-letter-word designation).
But…
trying to catch summer’s ‘end of days’,
we headed back to our water home…
How we missed you R.E.D….
After returning with provisions,
we settled in for a quiet relaxing but rather cool evening aboard
trying out François’ new boat wine glass..

…perfect for when exuberant adoring canine guests are on board…
…who choose their moment
only when you wear a new white shirt…
…so sorry my Captain…
…fits into the stern seats..

and red wines

Super day with F’s Mother
despite adverse weather warnings…
reefed main & genoa…
Beginning with brunch at
l’Escale
(the club restaurant)
followed by a little ‘sortie’
and
cocktails back at the dock
…another perfect day…
