LEAVING JACO

LEAVING JACO

Today we packed up, left the Pacific coast
and headed back through the mountains to San José…
Our dear man Carlos, true to his word, met us at the car rental.
Still lots of jibber jabber about the traffic and the weather,
but this time we had no problem trusting
that where ever he was taking us would be great.
in San Antonio de Belén just a few minutes drive from the airport,
was where he had reserved a room for us.
…the view from our room…
… bananas growing in the lush garden…
…a bowl of delicious pasta enjoyed
in their courtyard restaurant for supper…
…and a panoramic view of the sparkling lights of San José
after sunset.
Well done Carlos!
LIZARDS and CROCS

LIZARDS and CROCS

These handsome green Iguanas were everywhere around the hotel grounds…
We also saw a small lizard scurrying across the floor in our room the day before we left.

Packing our bags, it was no where to be seem.
Can’t wait to unpack at home to see what’s inside.

On the highway back to San José,
we stopped by a river to capture shots of these great monsters…

…like great silent mud scultures…

…all except for this one looking for dinner…

…mmm dinner…
